Gitana Mickienė has worked with flowers for fifteen years, and for the last ten she has run her own flower stand inside the Šilas store in Gričiupis, Kaunas. In that time she has tied countless bouquets for birthdays, name days, anniversaries, Teachers' Day and weddings, and for ordinary evenings when you simply want to bring something beautiful home.
Most bouquets are tied when you arrive, so you can tell her who the flowers are for, which colours you like and how much you want to spend. Gitana will help you choose, tell you which flowers last longest in a vase and tie the bouquet while you wait, and if you are in a hurry you can order ahead by text and collect it ready.
We do not deliver and we do not make funeral wreaths, because all of our attention goes to what we do best: fresh bouquets, roses, flowers in boxes, potted plants and wedding bouquets.

How do I order a bouquet in advance?
In the bouquet builder on this page choose the occasion, size, colours and pickup time, and your phone will prepare a text message to Gitana. She will reply to confirm when the bouquet will be ready, and you pay when you collect it in the store.
How much does a bouquet cost?
A small bouquet starts at €15, a medium one is around €25 and a large one around €40, but the final price depends on the flowers of the day and on what you ask for. If you have a set budget, just write it in your message and Gitana will make the bouquet to fit it.
Do you deliver?
No, we do not deliver, so bouquets are collected in person at the Šilas store in Gričiupis. The stand is open every day from eight in the morning until eleven at night, which makes it easy to pick up a bouquet on the way home from work or while shopping.
Can I buy flowers without ordering?
Of course, most customers simply drop by while shopping, choose their flowers on the spot and wait while Gitana ties the bouquet. Ordering ahead helps when you need several bouquets at once or want to collect one early in the morning.
What flowers can I find?
You will always find roses, seasonal bouquets, flowers in boxes and potted plants such as orchids. The range changes with the seasons: more tulips and daffodils in spring, peonies and meadow flowers in summer, and chrysanthemums, dahlias and warm-coloured bouquets in autumn.
How do I make a bouquet last longer?
When you get home, cut the stems at an angle, remove any leaves that would sit in the water and put the flowers in a clean vase with cool water. Change the water every other day and keep the vase away from radiators and direct sun, and most bouquets will stay fresh for a week or longer.
Do you make wedding bouquets?
Yes, Gitana makes bridal and bridesmaid bouquets to match the dress, the style of the day and the flowers you love. It is best to discuss a wedding bouquet well in advance, so there is time to order the right flowers and agree on every detail.
Do you make funeral wreaths?
No, we do not make funeral wreaths or sympathy arrangements, so for those orders we recommend a florist who specialises in them. Everything here is focused on fresh bouquets and gifts for happy occasions.
